Comment by Christopher Gleadle on April 26, 2011 at 5:41pm: I agree, and it is for these reasons, and many more, why I feel, a strong understanding of a supply chain is important - to measure and monitor both the enviro and socio- economic impact of the supply chain: quantifying impact in terms of the overall organisational sustainability (csr) footprint.

We can't say that any field has its own CSR principles. but, the type and condition for each field determines CSR areas of focus..

for example, child labor in farms or health and safety and working hours in garment industry ..

Garment , Textile industry depends on manpower and peak seasons in the first place , also sewing and textile machines are naturally noisy and dusty , thats why health and safety solutions and working hours\over time analyzing procedures are needed .
