I agree, and it is for these reasons, and many more, why I feel, a strong understanding of a supply chain is important - to measure and monitor both the enviro and socio- economic impact of the supply chain: quantifying impact in terms of the overall organisational sustainability (csr) footprint.

We can't say that any field has its own CSR principles. but, the type and condition for each field determines CSR areas of focus..

for example, child labor in farms or health and safety and working hours in garment industry ..

Garment , Textile industry depends on manpower and peak seasons in the first place , also sewing and textile machines are naturally noisy and dusty , thats why health and safety solutions and working hours\over time analyzing procedures are needed .

Could you please expand a little on why you believe the textile and garment industries have their own conditions and situations, which, would be outside of the emerging formal reporting and mitigation processes for CSR and sustainability.
