Abdul Latif Jameel Energy and Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) announce that they have formed a joint venture to develop photovoltaic (PV) solar energy projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Both companies will jointly develop and invest in solar plants.

Safety training centre opened for construction workers

Korean-led consortium Samsung C&T and its two partners opened a safety training centre in Al Matar street last week to enhance the skills of about 8,000 construction workers. This workforce will be working for the $1.4bn Msheireb and Education City Metro Station package.

However, Samsung C&T disclosed that they are only expecting to train about 500 to 1,000 workers this year.
