The Dubai Chamber Centre for Responsible Business would like to invite you to attend a workshop on how to develop a ‘Community Investment Strategy’ on the 30 September, 2012

Businesses inevitably have an impact on the communities in which they operate. Community investment is a way of maximising the positive and minimising the negative aspects of that impact. It can also be a source of business opportunity, innovation and competitive advantage. However, strategic community investment in Dubai is in its infancy with only 24% of companies having a policy or strategy in place that provides guidance to community engagement, and only 12% of companies setting objectives and targets for social indicators.

This workshop will introduce the Community Framework with the 5 key principles you should follow to be develop an excellent corporate community investment strategy. It will also equip you with the essential concepts, practical tools and step-by-step guidelines to prepare your own community investment strategy. Best practices examples and in-depth insights from companies with excellent community programs will also help companies understand the practical aspects of embarking on their own community strategy.

This is a highly interactive workshop that will give participants the opportunity to not only interact with speakers to help address specific topics relevant to their organizations but also share their own experiences.
