In line with its CSR activities during the holy month of Ramadan, PepsiCo-Jordan - winner of the 2009 and 2011 King Abdullah II Award for Excellence - organized an Iftar at the Nawares Al-Rahman Hall, during which it distributed 172 meals amongst a group of orphans and elderly community members residing in Al-Hashimi.

The Iftar event took place on Monday 6th August, 2012, and was held in collaboration with the Jordanian Food Bank.

"Organizing this event corresponds with our unwavering commitment to conducting CSR activities and programs that benefit the community, particularly during this blessed month. It also emphasizes our continuous efforts to promote social cohesion and compassion amongst local community members," commented PepsiCo-Jordan's General Manager Eng. Nidal Hamam. "We would like to thank the Jordanian Food Bank for its ongoing efforts to help underprivileged families across the Kingdom and we are extremely proud of partnering with and supporting this great cause which ultimately aims to build a sound and healthy society."

In turn, the Jordanian Food Bank's President, Eng. Kawther Qatarneh, thanked PepsiCo-Jordan for their support to less fortunate families during Ramadan and commended the Company's sense of responsibility towards its local community. Qatarneh also expressed hopes of collaborating with other national organizations to extend a helping hand to underprivileged segments of society.
