The RolePRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Researches and reviews data relative to short and long-term sustainability goals and projects •Serves as a liaison between local sustainability groups or projects and CCAD professional staff •Attends operations, construction, marketing and other events and reports compliance with sustainability goals •Reviews, recommends and implements procurement to improve sustainable practices as appropriate •Monitoring and targeting of all Energy and Utilities •Will initiate Recycling and Waste Management programs •Develop Sustainability educational and teaching program for CCAD •Manages and monitors LEED program at CCAD •Interacts with external local authorities relating to Green initiatives, Energy saving and all related sustainable programs •Evaluates particular areas within CCAD to strengthen partnerships •Evaluates and responds to World Class ideas that pertain to sustainability •Researches and recommends current sustainable business choices and develops plans for evaluation and implementation •Initiates special studies and projects to enhance the sustainability of systems within departments at CCAD •Develops and oversees marketing messages and outreach programs connected with sustainability |
RequirementsEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS •Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years experience in Facilities, Healthcare or Energy is required •A broad understanding of sustainability related processes and their applicability within Healthcare and Construction. •Ability to produce sustainability reports •Knowledge of Energy Conservation, Waste Reduction and Purchasing Practices •Strong organizational and time management skills •Strong oral and written communication skills •Ability to speak and write in English is required •Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred •Health care industry experience is preferred •Managerial and/or supervisory experience is preferred EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS •Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Architecture or Engineering, or related field, is required •Master's degree in Environmental Management, Architecture or Engineering, or related field, is preferred •LEED certification or eligibility is required |
