INTERNAL Executive Communications
* Consistently deliver communications based on change management priorities and advocate for the information needs of employees.
* Manage internal communications that focuses on consistent and engaging messaging for employees working strongly with the MENA managing director to support communication vehicles ie blogs, executive communications, employee engagement in alignment with the market unit leadership to create consistent key messages.
* Work with GC employee communication constituency to leverage all existing global internal communications vehicles to deliver best practice communications.
* Enable employee engagement through regular communication channels in alignment with senior MENA managements by providing content for quarterly company updates, town hall meetings, MU field kick-of meetings, coffee corners, etc.
* Align with Global Communications policies and standards.

EXTERNAL Communications
* Support planning and execution of MENA media relations plan. Engage with GC constituencies to align with GC media relations activities around key platforms and messages to meet the global and local strategies.
* Support thought leadership and messaging to position SAP with all key stakeholders and engage in collaborative discussion with key external communities. 
* Support regional and local customerrelated crisis and issues by working closely with MENA management team and other executives (along with Global Communications) to allow SAP to anticipate and react quickly to crisis situations that attract media attention regionally, nationally and globally.
* Working with media relations:

Engage with our local PR agency in MENA to enhance delivery and ensure results are in alignment with local business objectives to ensure strong rolling volume of media coverage and message penetration.

Work with the Industry principals to look for thought leadership angles and engage with local analyst firms active in the MU to build relationships (particularly if quoted in local media).

Support any local crisis management, coordinated and escalated to region and global communications leaders where necessary. 
* Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) supports development of CSR initiatives in the MENA region in a phased approach. Ensure alignment with Global CSR objectives, leveraging existing corporate initiatives and developing local country programs to support key markets.
* Minimum 8 years of related experience in Marketing or Communications organisation, developing comprehensive communications plans.
* Experience working with multiple communications vehicles within a fast-paced environment.
* Requires BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, PR, Business, or equivalent. 
* Able to lead teams, manage performance and prioritise according to changing business priorities.
* Ability to grasp aspects of the business, technical issues and market considerations; software industry experience preferred.
* Proven track record of implementing successful media relations and communication programs in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
* Excellent English written and oral communications skills and enjoys writing. Arabic a plus.
* Strong interpersonal/human relations/management skills for dealing with senior management and coordinating projects with internal contacts and outside vendors.
* Proven ability to handle executive level interaction and influence executive thought leadership.
* Ability to work with composure under pressure and to manage multiple, concurrent tasks and projects. 
* Flexible and resilient. Problem solver. Critical thinker. Ability to gain consensus among others. Ability to manage sensitive situations.
* Requires ability to work in cross-cultural environment and willingness to travel within the MENA region.
