Head of CSR, Sales & Business Development

Job Description

Summary:

Bamyan Media is seeking an exceptional individual to manage the integrated CSR partnerships, advertising sales and sponsorship of the TV programing we are currently developing for mainstream Egyptian TV.  
They will focus on managing the following areas of our organization:

  • Developing a strategy for engaging major brand name sponsors and CSR partners.
  • Developing and pitching ideas for integrated marketing within the television program itself (product placement), as well as online and through other outreach partners.
  • Making proposals adapted to sponsors specific interests and objectives.
  • Finalizing and closing sponsorship packages.   


Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Analyze the CSR interests and fit with key sponsors and partners and engage with targeted potential sponsors to develop this exciting marketing opportunity.
  • Write and present compelling proposals to selected sponsors.
  • Close sales and achieve sponsorship and advertising sales targets.
  • Work with creative production team to integrate sponsor marketing objectives and content into the TV series.
  • Work with partners to maximise impact and positive results for corporate sponsors.

This position is based out of the Bamyan Media Representative Office in Cairo, with opportunity to travel to other countries in the region.

Desired Skills & Experience

 

  • 5+ years of experience in sales/business development, selling TV advertising and branding solutions to major Egyptian and international corporations.
  • Specific experience in working with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) departments of major corporations.
  • Track record of significant sales to major accounts involving large contracts ($ millions).
  • Proven ability to manage/execute on business development objectives within tight time-frames.
  • Ability to form and maintain professional relationships with decision makers at major corporations and with international and local NGOs.
  • Curiosity, humility and sense of openness to innovations in development and sustainability.  A dynamic and engaging personality.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good at analyzing complex information and presenting findings in a clear and succinct manner. Education Preferred: Masters Degree in Marketing and or equivalent experience in the field.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Orientation towards action and pragmatism; is passionate about achieving significant, measurable, positive social impact.
