This role will be a dual role encompassing a regional CSR role
coupled with a more local GCC GIR engagement role.
Responsibilities - Regional CSR
Develop and feed Corporate Social Responsibility guidance, manage
CSR messages and deliver relevant recommendations
Study and analyze trends in CSR strategies implemented by various
local corporations
Define CSR objectives and implementation plan
Ensure consistency of CSR fields & policy supporting the
comopany management on Corporate communication
Create internal awareness on CSR & encourage staff
participations
Explain and communicate CSR management guidelines and
process
Actively participate in local, regional seminars, workshops,
conferences that may enrich corporate exposure and experience
future possible CSR projects
Responsibilities - GCC Government and Industry Relations
Build and own the GCC Government and Industry Relations engagement
agenda
Meet all relevant government telecoms bodies in the GCC countries
as follows
Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Yemmen. Note KSA is managed
separately and is not included in this list.
Liaise with government around frequency management
planning
Liaise with government regarding evolving telecoms policy,
including network sharing, technology and service neutrality,
convergence of media and telecoms regulation.
Skills
Qualifications Minimum
At least 5 years working experience in the MENA region, preferably
having been based in more than one country
Fluent in written and spoken English
Have a good knowledge of the business and product
strategies
Be comfortable with most technology facets of the industry today
and be aware of developments coming
Have a good knowledge of CSR initiatives and directions in the
region
Be good at relating to people and communicating with them
effectively
Be diplomatic and enjoy work with different cultures
Strong presentation skills
Qualifications Bonus
Arabic and a third language
Have knowledge and skills in CSR approaches
Have a Master degree in the Sustainability field or equivalent
