Professional Experience: Leading MISC’s Sustainability Initiatives. Plan, develop and manage the sustainability framework and related processes group wide for a standard and consistent approach. Responsibility & Achievements: - Produced MISC's Inaugural Sustainability Report - the first for a Malaysian Marine Corporation. Winning the award for Best First-Time Reporting at the ACCA Malaysian Sustainability Reporting Awards (MaSRA), November 2014 - Setting up of Sustainability Steering Committee for the Group with the support of Group Management Committee - Driving Sustainability knowledge development & awareness across the Group - via various portals including campaigns, town halls, and internal communications - Deriving material understanding for the organisation leading to the effective and efficient development of Sustainability strategies and communications – through benchmarking exercises, internal assessments, leading of stakeholder engagement groups and conduct of workshops. - Development of MISC Sustainability Roadmap/Framework - in laying the foundation for the management of key material aspects (short, medium and long term) – including policy development, target setting. - Led MISC towards recognition as a sustainability performing organisation and in being included in the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (ESG) Index (The FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating good Environmental, Social and Governance practices). - Successful incorporation of Sustainability elements into the organisation’s ‘Vision and Mission’ statements Have also extensive sustainability consultancy experience in the UK working with a range of clients from various industrial sectors. Graduated from Imperial College London's Centre for Environment Policy, with a degree in Environmental Technology (specialising in Business & the Environment)
