Professional Background
Inducted as Assistant Director in this organization in 2003, I excelled to the position of Deputy Director in 2008 and then as Director in 2013. The organization is tasked with collation, analysis and dissemination of feed back to the policy makers for vital decision making in different departments and organs of the state. This feed back is in the shape of different type of reports and research papers.Prior to this I worked as Sub-Editor in Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (Radio Pakistan).As a news room team member at Radio Pakistan, I edited and prepared news bulletins in English language with focus on writing, rewriting,editing and proofreading text, writing headlines, verifying information and story details. I also monitored and translated into English the news bulletins aired in Urdu by different international radio channels & TV networks, for inclusion in the daily “Monitoring Report” of Radio Pakistan.
CSR Interest & Background
While pursuing my Master in Social Science ( Media & Communication)from Uppsala University Sweden (2009-2011), I developed interest in the field of CSR communication. As a result, I completed my degree with thesis entitled " CSR Communication : An Analysis".It is relevant to add that previously I had had two other Master degrees namely MS Mass Communication from AIOU Islamabad and MA English Language & Literature from University of the Punjab Lahore (1995). A mid career officer in Federal Government of Pakistan and having spent around 18 years in the field of communication, writing, editing and teaching English language, I intend to actively pursue and focus my full attention to the communication of CSR.
