    Professional Background

I have over 7 years of experience in NGO work, Corporate Social Responsibility, PR and integrated marketing campaigns. I worked for 3 years with the YMCA of Lebanon as Project Director for development projects funded by Citi Foundation and USAID. I was responsible for implementation and management of all subsequent activities under the projects with the respective stakeholders, beneficiaries and partners as well as handling all field visits, external communication and maintaining proper expenditure as per grant agreement. In 2008, I joined Ogilvy & Mather - Dubai and worked in the field of communication and CSR for the likes of General Motors Middle East Operations, Volvo Cars Middle East, Unilever GCC and GSK. I gained experience in strategy formulation and execution, government relations, sponsorship pitching, media support, events management, digital media, recruitment and management of brand ambassadors and media relations. Whilst working on the integrated communication strategy for Volvo-CSR and Unilever, I achieved many Accolades across both Lynx and GemasEffie awards. In April 2011 I was appointed as the Manager of the Varkey GEMS Foundation whereby I am responsible of implementing and executing the foundations projects, building relations with government bodies and international agencies, formulate strategies and plans, identifying and mobilizing partners, explore new funding opportunities, development of proposals, PR, marketing and evaluation. I graduated with Honors from the Lebanese American University (LAU) and hold a bachelor degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. During my university years, I was part of LAU’s Honor Society due to high academic achievements, an active volunteer with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV), the co-founder and president of LAU’s International Relations Club and attended 2 Harvard World Model United Nations simulations.
