CSR Interest & Background
After graduating from Indias best business school, IIM Bangalore, I worked in regular management roles for 3 years. However , I was increasingly getting interested in social and environmental questions and wanted to build a career in those areas. I did a second masters in Sustainable Development from one of Europe's well known business schools, HEC Paris. It was about the same time that the new CSR rule in India came about. I saw this as a great opportunity to jump start my career in this space and for the last 2 years I am working in Mphasis, a leading IT firm, in their CSR department. I handle a CSR portfolio of $2M in areas of education, livelihood , environment and inclusion. I am looking for more global opportunities in this space.
