Professional Background
My responsibilities as the Executive Director gave me the opportunity to oversee the internal and external operations of the organization generally and deal with all the staff including the senior management and board of directors. My responsibilities entitled that I attend most donors meetings, participate in the writing of proposals, managing and supervising all projects implemented, ensuring that implementation is in line with the agreed on indicators and met with the timetables, deciding and guiding courses of action in operations by staff ensuring the delivery of programs and services provided by each project within their specific deadlines. Another aspect of my job was to assign and perform training programs for the staff, other NGOs staff and the Board of Directors along with the grassroots. I assist and help the NGO partners in the development of plans, and cost estimates for assigned activities., monitor their progress and help them to meet their deadlines .I participated in various International and National workshops, conferences and meetings regarding women issues and was invited by the National Council for Women to participate in its workshop regarding the discussion of the National Report presented to the CEDAW International committee. Alongside my responsibilities as the Executive Director of the NGO, I held the position of Project Manager for several projects , "Preventing Violence and Terrorism through Community Participation " June2010- December 2011 ( USAID) , "Enhancing Employment Chances for Egyptian - Women in the New Millennium" (2004- 2006)( Swiss Fund grant) and “Support Women's Human Rights" (2005- 2007).( Netherlands Embassy grant). In addition to the experiences gained from my position as the Executive Director of the NGO, my responsibility as project manager made me privy to a wider area of expertise. It widened the scope of work I performed and the type of people I worked with and offered me experience from a different angle. It ensured that I work directly with grassroots at their ground and therefore have a wider understanding of the practical side of the work performed.
