Professional Background
My career started with banking training, and then I’ve spent 16 years in the Turkish Treasury, dealing with financial management of financial and non-financial State Economic Enterprises, (SEEs). In 2008-2011, I had international experience in Berlin, Germany, about developing bilateral (between Turkey and Germany) economic relations, and helping with direct investment projects.
CSR Interest & Background
I am pursuing the Master of Arts in Responsible Management at the Steinbeis University in Berlin. This program is inspired by the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative of UN Global Compact. One of the goals of this program is to develop the capabilities of students to be future generators of sustainable value for business and society at large, and to work for an inclusive and sustainable global economy. I have finished all classes including Sustainable Management, Corporate Responsibility Management, Corporate Ethics Management, Environmental Management, and planned to conclude my thesis in 2013. I've also attended UNEP FI’s ESRA (Environmental and Social Risk Analysis) online training program in November 2012.
