James is a skilled private sector development consultant with experience covering mineral rich economies in Africa, the Middle East and the Pacific. He has strong experience in designing and implementing wealth creation initiatives through value chain development, business environment reform, skills development and advocacy and civil society strengthening. James has previously engaged in initiatives with Ma’aden, Saudi Arabia’s premier mining company, the Chevron sponsored Partnerships in the Niger Delta and ARAMCO’s Entrepreneurship Program. He has also worked in Papua New Guinea’s Central Bank, with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Bangladesh and as an advisor to the United Nations in Iraq and the Department for International Development in Nigeria. A member of the UK Government’s Stabilisation Unit and an ex Overseas Development Institute Fellow, James has strong technical and interpersonal skills.
