I believe that market solutions have great potential to promote sustainable development. My experience working in the development field has taught me that, While NGOs often change their strategy and values to match the whims of various donors, businesses stay true to their bottom line, making for more reliable, long term improvement. When thoughtfully planned, these improvements can reach a wide segment of society. This is why I have always sought out partnerships with the private sector while working in development and humanitarian NGOs and the UN. I am now looking to move full time to work for a socially-minded business with the aim of shaping sustainable solutions that benefit all.
