Professional Background
Dr Haruna Gujba is currently a Professional Research Fellow working on ‘Energy and Low Carbon Development’ at the African Climate Policy Centre (ACPC), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). Prior to this, he worked as a Research Associate for three and a half years at the University of Manchester working on Life Cycle Assessment and Carbon Footprinting of Industrial Products and Activities. Haruna Holds a PhD in ‘Sustainable Energy Systems’ and an MSc in ‘Process and Environmental Systems Engineering’ from the University of Surrey, UK. He also has a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. Haruna has many publications in various areas including Energy Systems Analysis, Life Cycle Assessment, Carbon Footprinting and Low Carbon Development. Haruna has also participated in organizing and presenting at many international conferences and workshops.
