Professional Background
Empowering Youth on Technology and Entrepreneurship Project (Project Partners: UNDP, Microsoft, TR Ministry of Development, Habitat Center for Development and Governance) I am responsible for coordinating and supporting the work of all trainers and organizing all relations with the network of IT companies, local and national NGOs and government bodies. Also, this Project is mobilized the National Youth Parliament, a youth assembly which has 130 different youth NGOs all around Turkey. Considering the already existing pool of volunteers, trainers and network with the experience in local settlements. Key roles within my employment included overseeing several CSR projects, managing the budget of IT projects, and support the relations with the trainers and assists with the coordination of their work at the local level and reporting all activities and financial budget of the project regularly to all project partners and stakeholders. This project was one of the longest and most popular CSR project of Microsoft in the region. Project partners are namely Microsoft Turkey, UNDP, TR Ministry of Development and Habitat Center for Development and Governance. The project aims to increase the number of ICT literates mainly among disadvantaged young people and to create employment opportunities for them to get actively involved in e-governance mechanisms in the country. Project expanded during my management from pilot stage to 1200 young trainer from 78 cities. This helped an multinational company to be recognized in every region in the country. The project has been awarded with three awards including European commission within e-inclusion awards as a best practice in the geographical area, also awarded by UNDP as a best practice and awarded by Microsoft as a best practice in Mediternean and Africa region

The common goal of the events is to strengthen partnership between Microsoft and the local non-profit sector. Organizations attending the event get chance to learn about possibilities and benefits of using technology in their everyday work. Habitat Center for Development and Governance is one of the partners of the annual conference in Turkey. This event has been implement in Turkey in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Around 200 different NGO’s from Turkey attended to these events. I was responsible for managing NGO Connection Days in Turkey. 2008 – 2010 Feb Project Assistant and IT Academies Coordinator Youth Association for Habitat, Istanbul, Turkey Empowerment of Youth for Active Participation in E-Transformation of Turkey Project (Project Partners: UNDP, Microsoft, TR Ministry of Development, Youth Association for Habitat) • I was responsible for helping organize the scheduled trainings/consultations/workshops at a local level, assisting with the preparation of quarterly progress report of activities performed, assisting the budgeting of the expenditures of the project as a project assistant at Habitat within the project. Regional ICT Academies are established in 25 cities in partnership with local governments of these provinces by supporting Microsoft, UNDP,TR Ministry of Development and Habitat. The academies provide project trainings. The center in Istanbul, acting as the Youth Leadership Academy, provides trainings on leadership skills, youth entrepreneurship, international relations and European affairs, local governance, and sustainable development.
