Professional Background
A Petrochemical engineer by education, Bobby Mathew has a Bachelor of Technology degree from School of Engineering & Technology, Tiruchirapalli. He is a BEE Certified Energy Auditor and has been involved in more than 75 energy, water and green audits across various industries with his experience in CII. He started his career in the Oil & Gas Industry before moving to environment sustainability. Bobby Mathew was a key team member in the National Oil Conservation initiative of CII. He has been actively involved in the development of the service provider network for Indian Thermal Power Plants. On the environment front, he is involved in handling the largest industrial voluntary program “Mission on sustainable growth” on promoting ecological sustainability across the Indian Industry. As part of this initiative, he is working with 450 organizations across India in resource conservation and efficiency improvement initiatives He has also worked on energy efficiency and climate change projects along with IFC, APP, USAID, SECO,etc. Presently, he is involved in the development and business promotion activities of the “GreenCo Rating Program” of CII which assess the environmental performance of a company.
