Asmaa Freig, is the political research officer of the British Consulate General in Alexandria, Egypt. Have recently earned her postgraduate studies in Political Sciences from Alexandria University, with focus on Social Mobility and Political Communications. Asmaa is a board member of an Alexandria-based research project on Transitional Justice, convening social rights and GBV programme in Alexandria. She is also founder of mentorship programme for the visually impaired female young graduates aiming to actualize empowerment. Asmaa worked on wide variety of sustainable development & capacity building projects South the Mediterranean, based on creating dialogue spaces with Anna Lindh Foundation. She teaches cross cultural management and negotiation & strategic marketing, for MBA programmes, along with competitive intelligence curriculum. Asmaa is a marketing & risk management consultant for start-ups and NPO's, working mainly on establishing business continuity. Born in 1977, and raised Libya where she earned her GCE from University of London in 1993, and BSc in Computer Engineering back in 1999. She also earned her MBA, majoring international marketing from Ecole Supérieure Libre des Sciences Commerciales Appliquées, in 2011.
