Professional Background

Asita has taken part in various restructuring programs in emerging and underdeveloped markets through the sales of second-hand factories since 1997. Her work contribution has allowed for job creation in critical regions in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. She has since been actively involved in Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. During her MBA studies at the Schulich School of Business (Toronto), Asita managed to raise funds for various impromptu relief programs. Furthermore, Asita chaired as Managing Director of the charity organization Al Madad Foundation in London (2007) working with leading NGOs and foundations on CSR programs. During her work career at Standard Chartered bank she raised funds for the King Hussain foundation providing healthcare support to Gaza. Asita is currently working at Mubadala as the Project Life Cycle lead, where she helps screen investments and looks forward to incorporate a CSR angle into the Mubadala pipeline.
