Professional Background
André is currently the Franchisee of two H2O franchises (H2O International Garden Route and H2O International Mossel Bay; www.h2o.co.za) in the southern Cape, with an added focuss on applying his sustainability knowledge and experience in the retail environment. Prior to his move to the southern Cape, André was a Senior Manager in PwC’s Sustainability and Climate Change team with competencies in business management and development, sustainability advisory and assurance, integrated reporting advisory, environmental, health & safety (EHS) compliance & advisory, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 Management Systems and environmental scientific research. Prior to joining PwC in 2010, Andre had 8 and 3 years’ experience in the fields of business consulting and environmental management, respectively. Andre also has extensive environmental scientific research experience (Master of Science degree) and is the author/co-author of more than 50 symposium presentations both locally and internationally. André spent 8 years with De Beers Marine (South Africa & Namibia) in the environmental field and has extensive marine environmental impact experience. While in Namibia, André started an environmental and business consulting company and also established a number of private companies under contract.
