To facilitate this activity, Volvic has teamed with some local NGOs and labor camps and will donate more than 20,000 large bottles of their water to many labor camps in desperate need of water.
One such organization, Adopt A Camp held their annual 'Ramadan Care Packages Night' on the 9th of August 2012 and this initiative of theirs invited anyone and everyone to come together in the spirit of community service to pack and distribute these packages to more than 5000 laborers from all over Dubai's labor camps.
The Care Packages were unique and far from basic. They had been customized to fulfill needs of laborers after having done detailed surveys into their requirement lists.
Each Care Package included enough toiletries for three months and enough energy food items for one month. Other items included plates, fresh pillows, towels and socks which constituted each Care Package.
This activity was actively supported by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. In the true spirit of charity, Volvic water staff was wholeheartedly involved in packing more than 5000 Care Packages. This activity was attended by more than 6000 volunteers, and Volvic had also sponsored the water for all the attendees.
Packing and assembling the Care Packages took place on the 9th of August 2012, from 9 pm onwards at the DWTC Arena Area and the distribution of these packages in the labor camps went on till 3 am.

On the packing night, it was amazing to see so many people and the Volvic team joined together in the same spirit of giving for a great cause. Definitely an experience to renew," said Habib Bahri, Brand Manager, Volvic.
Volvic also has planned two more such handouts directly to labor camps and will be doing their final handouts in Eid and in the last week of August, 2012.
Volvic has always been supportive of charity initiatives as part of their corporate social responsibility ventures. The company focuses strongly on inculcating the value of care and believes in giving back as much as possible to the society and the lesser privileged. They also strongly believe that this would reflect well on the brand in the long run.
Volvic has had large scale CSR campaigns world-wide and their 'Drink 1, Give 10' campaign with UNICEF was very well received and helped provide safe drinking water to children living in rural parts of Africa.
