RasGas has signed up as the main sponsor of the third annual CSR conference organised by the Ministry of Trade and Business. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a core commitment for RasGas Company Limited (RasGas), a press release said yesterday.  

RasGas recognises this conference as one of Qatar’s quality initiatives to support sustainable development in Qatar and increase awareness on the importance of corporate citizenship in commercial activities, the press release added.

The ministry welcomed RasGas’ support as their diamond sponsor of this year’s conference to be held on October 3 and 4 at a special event held at the Ministry of Business and Trade.

Abdulla Hashim RasGas Public Affairs Manager acknowledged the conference as a positive example of successful collaboration between national authorities and the business world, as a means to support the development of a sustainable society and to encourage the sharing of experiences and ideas enabling all companies to operate a strong and effective CSR programme.

Abdulla Hashim were Safia Al Hajri, Head of Internal Corporate and Community Relations, along with the RasGas CSR team;  Ahmed Al Marzouki, Head of Ministry of Business and Trade CSR Committee and Abdulla Al Kuaither Public Relations Manager at the Ministry attended the event.  Also joining them was Dr Mohamed Jassim Al Muslimani Dr Al Muslimani, President of the Qatar Institute of Directors.
