PepsiCo to host 2nd Social Responsibility Youth Forum

On Sunday, the second PepsiCo CSR Youth Forum will take place alongside the 9th Middle East Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Summit, bringing together like-minded youth from the UAE and from around the region to debate and develop a route for creating a more sustainable and healthier future for their communities.

This year's full-day event will include interactive workshops, speaker panels and discussion groups on topics relating to health and wellness, environment and talent development under the theme of 'Be the Change'.

The Middle East has more young people than anywhere else in the world. They are tomorrow's leaders and oftentimes, their passion isn't translated in a way that businesses and other stakeholders truly understand.

Through the PepsiCo CSR Youth Forum, PepsiCo is providing young people an opportunity to have their voices heard and to be part of the dialogue on social responsibility. It is only by empowering and engaging youth in this dialogue that we can help build a future generation of socially responsible leaders who can achieve progress and advance sustainable development in their societies.

Delegates will hear from young community leaders, including:

Nitin Mirani - Stand-up Comedian and youth advocate

Seaon Shin - Global Youth Empowerment Movement (GYEM)

Rania Kanaan - Ananasa

Dina Khairo - PepsiCo nutrition expert

Susan Tabler - Abu Dhabi Cause Connect (ADCC)

Nahed Mayo - Emirates Marine Environmental Group (EMEG)

Additional event partners include UthMag and Murdoch University.

The PepsiCo CSR Youth Forum is being held on June 10th alongside the 9th Middle East Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Summit. This is the second year for the forum. Youth from around the region are invited to participate in the conversation through Twitter using the hashtag #BEtheCHANGE.

Recommendations and ideas from the forum will be developed and shared with business and government leaders with the view of exploring how to make these actionable, through partnerships, in the near future.
