Bahraini retail and commercial banking institution, BMI Bank demonstrated its commitment towards stronger participation in local community initiatives through a donation to Think Pink Bahrain.

The donation of BD5,000, handed over by Eyad Sater the Bank's general manager - support services to Julie Sprakel - Think Pink Bahrain founder, was in line with the Bank's strategic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program that offers continuous support to three local charities including Al Sanabil Orphans Care Center and American Mission Hospital's Community Outreach program.

The cheque was presented to Think Pink Bahrain at a ceremony held at the Bank's corporate offices at the Bahrain World Trade Center and attended by Julie Sprakel and Fatima Bastaki from Think Pink Bahrain as well as the corporate communications department at BMI Bank.

Commenting on the donation to Think Pink Bahrain, Eyad Sater said, "As a responsible Bahraini Bank, we are proud to continue to extend our support to Think Pink Bahrain for the fourth year in a row. It is through such local not-for-profit charities like Think Pink Bahrain that we are able to truly reach out to the community and provide them with the necessary education and awareness."

He added, "We appreciate the time devoted by all the members, volunteers and supporters of Think Pink Bahrain in raising the awareness levels of breast cancer within Bahrain and will continue to support them over the years to come. At BMI Bank, we actively support, sponsor and encourage community initiatives in education, arts, sports and any other activities which encourage people to succeed."

Speaking at the ceremony, Julie Sprakel said, "It is always a privilege to collaborate with the team at BMI Bank year after year. Their donation with be directed to the much needed digital MRI machine. They are the first company to come on board for our corporate sponsorship package. We are now BD5,000 closer to our goal. I would like to thank them all for their continued support."
