BankMuscat extends support to Volunteer Exhibition

BankMuscat is supporting and participating in the three-day Volunteer Exhibition which opened at Oman International Exhibition Center yesterday. The exhibition is in line with the directive of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to celebrate December 5 as the Day for Volunteerism in the Sultanate, as well as the announcement of the Sultan Qaboos Prize for Voluntary Work.
The Bank utilised the platform to showcase various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and projects to delegates and targeted visitors. Essam al Sharji, CSR Manager, said: “BankMuscat is proud to support and participate in the exhibition as part of its commitment to social responsibility. In discharging its social responsibilities, BankMuscat works closely with social, voluntary organisations and government bodies in support of their activities that contribute to social development.”
The CSR of BankMuscat is a commitment to contribute towards sustainable development by working closely with local communities with the aim of improving living standards in a manner that serves the national economy and development process at the same time.
Equal consideration is accorded to environmental, social and economic issues when pursuing efforts aimed at achieving development and improving living standards.
BankMuscat Hearts is a voluntary initiative by the Bank staff to undertake community activities. The informal society regularly conducts voluntary social work benefiting society, especially underprivileged segments.
