The Zubair Corporation - the prominent Omani business group engaged in diverse sectors - has signed a Memorandum of Engagement (MoE) with the Pearl Initiative, the private-sector led program developed in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Partnerships that is creating a regional network of business leaders and policy makers within the GCC countries.

Rashad Al-Zubair, Chairman of The Zubair Corporation, has also been welcomed as a Pearl Board member.

Over four decades, it has expanded and diversified, bringing new business thinking from around the world into the Sultanate of Oman to help build a vibrant and modern nation. Established in 1967 by Rashad's father Mohammad Al Zubair, it is now a group with over 60 wholly owned companies, subsidiaries and associates in various parts of the world. Its portfolio encompasses Energy & Logistics, Investment, Real Estate & Hospitality, Information Communication & Technology, Engineering Construction & Contracting, Manufacturing, Advertising and Publishing, and extends to Heritage and Culture.

Being a Founding Partner of Pearl Initiative will further drive the corporate ethos of Zubair, in which transparency, corporate governance, accountability and social responsibility are highly valued.
