Zain hosts Girgai'an celebration for children with cancer

Zain, telecommunications company in Kuwait, hosted its annual Girgai'an celebration in cooperation with Al-Amal club for children suffering from cancer and blood disorders.

The company celebrated the occasion with children in an atmosphere filled with happiness and goodwill.

The event, which was hosted at Al-Amal club's headquarters at Khalidiya, was attended by a large number of Zain volunteers, members of the Women Cultural Association, as well as by popular actress Muna Shadad.

Waleed Al-Khashti, Zain's Corporate Communications and Relations Manager said, "Zain always looks to spread the spirit of joy to all children. Ramadan presents a great opportunity to achieve this, and it is also a suitable time for our organization to communicate and interact with people as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility and charity programmes."

Al-Khashti continued, "Zain's volunteers delighted the children by distributing Girgai'an and gifts while also organizing many fun activities including a magic show, traditional dancing, and a face painting session. Zain remains committed to bringing a little happiness to the lives of children suffering from cancer and Ramadan is an apt time for us to further intensify our efforts. This is why we continue to visit hospitals and care centers as well as to initiate social programmes for vulnerable members of society, especially during Ramadan."

This year, Zain is providing an extensive array of programmes during Ramadan, including the distribution of daily Iftar meals; the circulation of 2,000 'Machla boxes; visitations to an orphanage, elderly care center, and special needs center; as well as the hosting of Girgai'an events at 360 Mall.
