Zain Bahrain has signed on as the official telecommunications sponsor for the first Bahrain Waste Management Forum and Exhibition 2011 to be held next month.

The event, on the theme 'Towards zero waste', is organised by Bahrain Polytechnic and is being held on November 14 and 15 under the patronage of Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Minister Dr Juma Al Ka'abi at Gulf Hotel's Gulf Convention Centre.

Zain Bahrain corporate communications manager Samya Hussain said responsible environmental management is a core corporate social responsibility objective of Zain Bahrain.

"We are very happy to be supporting an initiative which makes the public aware of how better we can manage our environment through efficient waste disposal."

Meanwhile, Gulf City Cleaning Company has joined in as platinum sponsors for the event.
