Vodafone Egypt injects EGP200 million in developing local society

Vodafone Egypt maintained its society development initiatives this year, highlighting its pioneering role in corporate social responsibility (CSR). The telco aims to reach the highest number of people in society to spread sustainable development ideas. 

Vodafone focuses on improving education and eradicating illiteracy. The mobile operator gives a special priority to resisting poverty and benefiting from mobile phone technology in development and providing services for those with special needs. 

More than 5 million Egyptians capitalized on Vodafone's initiatives over the last fourteen years. 

CEO Hatem Dowidar said: "Corporate social responsibility is one of the major reasons for success of key players in Egypt and worldwide. Companies should adopt ethics and values like mutual confidence, transparency and environment protection as well as creating job opportunities."
