Swiss Art Gate UAE is pleased to inform you, that The Magic Lantern www.magiclantern.ae - a non-profit educational film club for children 6 to 11 - successfully runs its second year in the United Arab Emirates, under the patronage of UNESCO (Swiss Commission) and the Swiss Embassy.  Every month we feature a new children's movie, with a short stage show by three actors and a magazine for kids. 

In November 2010 we have started the first film club in Al Qasba, Sharjah, and our member club is growing continuously. More funds are still to be raised for the existing film club in Sharjah, but also for the establishment of other children film clubs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and in the Northern Emirates. In the next three years, the plan is to establish a film club in each Emirate.
