Setting up of Bridges Establishment, as per the agreement recently signed among Sohar Aluminum, Vale Oman and ORPIC as a non-profit organization that cares for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs is to reflect the commitment of these companies to promote and develop local community.
Dr. Hamad bin Hashim al-Dhahab, CEO of Bridges said that the incorporation of this establishment came as a culmination of the steady efforts by the three companies to establish the first of its kind organization that nurture social responsibility.
In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), he added that the CSR is a commitment by the private sector to take part in the socio-economic development process for the local communities in a bid to ensure better life and find an added value for the society in a number of fields including education, employment, environment and health. He added that this commitment complements the role played by the government to spread development and progress.
