Qtel proud to back graduation ceremony

DOHA: Qtel was one of the corporate supporters at the recent graduation ceremony for Doha Independent School.

More than 250 students were presented with certificates of graduation during the ceremony.
Qtel provided full support for the event, as part of its wider Corporate Social Responsibility programme- “For Qatar, Hand in Hand”.

Education is one of the key platforms of Qtel’s strategy, and the company has a proud history of direct support for schools and colleges across Qatar.

Qtel CEO Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al-Thani attended the ceremony, and presented special awards to the top 10 students to mark their considerable achievements. In return, the school presented the Qtel CEO with a special commemorative gift to demonstrate their appreciation of Qtel’s support.

“We are very proud of these graduates, who are our hopes and ambitions for future. Qtel is proud to support this event, because we believe that supporting the next generation is the most important contribution that a company can make,” Sheikh Saud said.

Also attending from Qtel was Mohamed Ali al-Qayed, Assistant Manager (Public Relations).
Student Naif al-Nabet opened the ceremony with a reading from the Holy Qur’an, while Issa Mansour al- Haiki made a special speech congratulating the students and thanking Qtel for its support for the ceremony.
