Qatargas, as part of its Corporate Social Citizenship initiative, has extended support to Hamad Medical Corporation's (HMC) Pediatric Surgery Department, which is organising the first Qatar International Pediatric Surgery Congress and the 12th Congress of the Pan Arab Association of Pediatric Surgery (PAAPS) during 17-19 February 2012, at the Qatar National Convention Centre, Doha.

Mansour Rashid Al Naimi, Public Relations Manager, Qatargas, presented the company's sponsorship to Dr. Mansour Ahmad Ali, Head of Pediatric Surgery Department at HMC and Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Congress. 

Commenting on the company's support to the congress, Ghanim Mohammed Al Kuwari, Qatargas' Chief Operating Officer - Administration said, "Qatargas is pleased to lend its support to this gathering of eminent pediatric surgeons from around the world, which will help the participants enhance their knowledge and keep abreast of the latest technological and academic developments in this field. Qatargas' Chief Medical Officer Dr. Osama Ibrahim added, "Pediatricians from Qatargas Medical Centre will attend this congress in order to make use of the knowledge sharing opportunities that are offered by the event. Furthermore, attending the concurrent exhibition of the congress, we will showcase some of the health care services the medical centre provides to Qatargas staff."
