Stressing on the importance of adherence to road safety practices, Qatargas is keen to provide interactive safety awareness educational tools during an active participation in the GCC Traffic Week. This year, Qatargas continues the role of educating the public on preventing accidents, while extending messages around the severe hazard of using cell phones while driving, which proved to be one of the main reasons of the increasing road accidents fatalities throughout past years.

The GCC Traffic Week inauguration ceremony was held on 11 March followed by a number of interactive sessions and workshops led by experts in the fields of interpersonal and behavioral skills. This, in addition to a traffic village set up especially for kid's activities.
The Traffic Week Activities are directed to increasing the road safety awareness and encourages interactive participation of the public. "We will continue to give road safety our utmost attention until we see radical improvement taking place" added Mansour Rashid Al-Naimi, Qatargas' Public Relations Manager.
