Eastern region's emerging educational institution, Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University (PMU) is equipped with modern infrastructure and takes regular initiatives to distinguish itself from the rest. Recent attempt of such kind is its collaboration with Sabic (Saudi Basic Industries Corporation) to train the selected students for their international exposure.

The agreement between PMU and Sabic for three-month long rigorous preparatory program training is part of the scholarship awarded to 81 students who received it for further studies in the famous American universities next year. Selected students have been enrolled in PMU and their orientation completed recently. They are part of the seventh batch of Sabic Foreign Scholarship Program whose first batch started in 2005. 

PMU Rector, Dr. Issa Al-Ansari and Executive Vice President, Human Resources at Sabic, Yousef Abdullah Al-Benyan signed this agreement in PMU campus for the go ahead of this project. Dr. Issa Al-Ansari ascertains the "Philosophy of PMU which sticks to professionalism and ensures inculcating potentiality through guiding students to perform their roles effectively with the support of latest teaching aids inside PMU for their benefit for which Sabic has reposed faith on this university." 

He further said that "PMU has designed unique training program for Sabic students - implemented according to defined needs." It is based on the practicality and ensures that students develop basic skills while getting nourished. Focus is at training to develop English language skills and to make them feel at home when they pursue further studies in a culture different from their own."

While briefing to the media, Al-Benyan expressed that this program to train students in PMU is part of a strategic decision of Sabic management which nourishes future leaders from KSA like it does in other regions. Being part of thoughtful process to prepare such leaders SABIC often explores academic avenues to reassure its unending commitment to fulfill the ambitions of meritorious students translate into reality worldwide. 

Rigorous selection process of students for Sabic program ensures only meritorious candidates are shortlisted for training. Their grooming by international faculties in PMU is to help them lead life in multicultural atmosphere in the USA later. Purpose of SABIC Scholarship Program is therefore to make good use of opportunities and prepare students for their future roles.

The delegation led by Al-Benyan evaluated the PMU infrastructure and minutely analyzed its advanced education system. They expect that selected students would have good scope to attain rigorous training in a modern university (PMU) inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

PMU takes responsibility to develop such skills through three months preparatory program which will help them leap for next step to attain further education in prestigious American universities in early 2012. Confidence building is main aspect, so is training to engage in the American societies. It would guarantee success in completing their studies in the selected US universities.
