PepsiCo-Jordan - winner of the 2009 and 2011 King Abdullah II Award for Excellence - celebrated Eid al-Fitr with around 200 children from several of the Kingdom's orphanages at Zaha Cultural Center for the fifth consecutive year.
Since it was first organized in 2008, the day-long event has grown to become an annual Company tradition through which PepsiCo-Jordan directly engages with the nation's orphans to spread the joy of Eid.
Held on the second day of Eid al-Fitr, the fun-filled event involved the participation of PepsiCo-Jordan employees' children. The day's entertainment included plaster painting, games and competitions, face painting, balloon shaping, a special Eid lunch and gifts for the children.
"PepsiCo-Jordan's annual Eid tradition is our way of staying involved with orphans and making sure that they receive the same opportunities during Eid al-Fitr as their peers. As part of our overall social responsibility programs, we pay special attention to supporting orphanages, promoting social solidarity and strengthening community ties," said Eng. Nidal Hamam, GM of PepsiCo-Jordan.
