As part of the Oman Manufacturing Group (OMG) series of seminars organized by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), Corporate Social Responsibility seminar will take place on Tuesday February 21 at Grand Hyatt Muscat; under the auspices of H.E Sheikh Mohammed bin Said Al Kalbani, Minister of Social Development.

Corporate Social Responsibility Seminar will present an ultimate learning experience, networking space, opportunity to discuss CSR policies, strategies and successful implements. CSR whereby companies decide voluntarily to contribute to a better society and a cleaner environment and integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations and in their interaction with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis. A rather simpler definition could be "Operating a business in a manner that meets or exceeds the commercial and public expectations that society has of business".

The seminar will host high-profile speakers including Almutasim bin Said Al Sariri, Corporate Communication and CSR Manager at Oman Oil Company S.A.O.C. Al Sariri worked in various roles to serve the community in areas related to social investment, communications, and social marketing. He is a founding member of a number of NGOs and civil society organizations in the Sultanate including Oman Road Safety Association and Oman Youth Road Safety Ambassadors. He is also an active speaker in Youth Engagement and CSR. Also speaking at the seminar will be Annelies Hodge, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

Hodge has 14 years of professional experience in CSR, consulting, business development, organizational change, marketing and stakeholder engagement while working in Europe, North America, Australia-Pacific and the Middle East. Abdullah Mubarak Al Shekaili, National Fund Supervisor at Oman LNG, and Qasim Mohammed Al Balushi - CSR Manager at Oman India Fertilizer Company (OMIFCO) based in Sur, will also speak at the event.
