Oman Arab Bank sponsors first Oman Sports Expo

In line with its corporate social responsibility initiatives, and the support it provides for the youth and sports activities, Oman Arab Bank (OAB) sponsored the 1st Oman Sports Expo that was held from February 4 to 6 at the Oman Exhibition Centre. This event was organised by Global Exhibitions and Conferences LLC in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports Affairs.

The expo was inaugurated by H E Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Secretary General for the Supreme Council for Planning, in the presence of H E Sheikh Saad bin Mohammed bin Mardouf al Saadi, Minister of Sports Affairs, who made a statement on the occasion saying that holding this expo bears eloquent testimony to the ongoing growth witnessed by the infrastructure of sports facilities in the sultanate in general, and those in the clubs at the Wilayats' level in particular.

And now, the companies operating in the sports sector are all invited to further enhance their performance so as to cope with the uplifting process of these facilities, in order to finally fulfill the strategic objectives of the Omani sports ministry.

Bishara Qafiti, DGM-head of retail banking & operations, said that OAB participated in this exhibition through a dedicated pavilion that showcased most of the retail and corporate products and services rendered by the bank, with a view to closely introduce these products and services to the expo's visitors, so that they can further avail themselves of these services and products.

Qafiti went on to assure that the initiatives taken by OAB within the context of its social responsibility will continue, as such initiatives are considered as communication channels for community outreach, with the ultimate aim being to serve the nation as a whole.
