Ogilvy Beirut campaign targets CSR initiative

On the occasion of World Hug Day, Ogilvy Action Beirut organized the 'Hug Day', a special day that encourages everyone to hug family and friends more often. The Client behind the activation is Huggies and it involved a Huggies baby mascot offering hugs to children and parents all day long at City Mall.

The campaign brought strangers together for a good cause whereby Huggies Lebanon donated for every hug, one pack of diapers to the orphanage of St.Vincent de Paul, spreading care and affection to underprivileged children. 

"Psychologists say that people hug to seek security, comfort and love; a hug shows you care," said Moe Minkara, Regional Creative Director at Memac Ogilvy.

"Huggies diapers are best known for their perfect fit. They hug babies like mothers giving them the security, comfort and love: this is what inspired our hug day campaign," he added. 

The Hug Day Campaign deemed a complete success. The Huggies baby mascot collected 500 hugs against which, Huggies Lebanon team visited the orphanage and donated Huggies diapers packs. The children were elated and manifested their joy in singing and dancing with the Huggies baby mascot.
