NBO supports ‘Hayatikum’ on Oman TV

National Bank of Oman (NBO) has decided to support ‘Hayatikum’ the weekly recorded Television Programme on Oman TV, which focuses on various social issues. The programme highlights significant and current ‘true to life’ incidents that affect the daily lives of individuals and the Omani and Arab community at large, thereby reiterating the bank’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and community events.

Guest speakers — experts in different related fields including lawyers, academicians, members of civil society, government officials, psychologists, human rights specialists, are interviewed during the programme to obtain their expert advice on how to face and handle the various social challenges that are faced in today’s fast moving world. Topics discussed include social issues, youth, marriage to non-Omanis, senior citizens and much more.

The programme is aired on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and aims to raise awareness among viewers by using problem solving methods. It also addresses issues emanating from studies conducted by Sultan Qaboos University, Ministry of Social Development and the State Council.

Aisha al Kharusi, NBO’s Head CSR and Corporate Communications, said: “We believe television media is highly significant as it reaches all strata of the Omani society. NBO is committed to supporting events organised and held for the benefit of the community at large. Sponsoring this programme has enabled us to back efforts to address and solve social issues, which is extremely relevant in today’s day and age”.
