McDonald’s hires Omanis with special needs

As part of its commitment to McDonald’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, McDonald’s Oman is proud to hire Omanis with special needs. This exemplifies McDonald’s continued support and initiative to providing employment opportunities to all young Omanis.
According to Ali K Daud, Development Licensee and President of Al Daud Restaurants LLC (McDonald’s Oman), McDonald’s is an organisation that provides job opportunities to people with physical disabilities. “We collaborate with various special needs organisations which have helped us in recruiting Omanis with physical disabilities over a period of time. Through their support, we are able to recruit a good number of Omanis with special needs to be part of the growing McDonald’s family. I am proud to say that such Omanis have demonstrated commendable dedication and commitment to their jobs.”
Daud further added: “Over a period of time, we have observed our employees with special needs continue to perform admirably at work despite their disabilities. Like other employees, they too are provided with in-house training and developmental opportunities to enhance their proficiency, self-reliance and a sense of belonging.”
McDonald’s currently has a growing number of Omanis with special needs. As the company opens new outlets in the coming months, it continues to open its doors for Omanis with special needs looking for career opportunities in the restaurants.
Jamal al Balushi, a proud father of Marwan (pictured), who is working as a Crew at McDonald’s restaurant, is delighted for such an opportunity given. He said: “I am very happy that McDonald’s has given my son the opportunity to develop his skills despite his physical disabilities. I am glad that he finds his job at McDonald’s enjoyable and rewarding”.
McDonald’s commitment to providing employment opportunity to people with special needs is not only in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, but also stems from its keen desire to give back to the local community. Any Omani with special need, who wants to work full-time or part-time at McDonald’s, may apply at any McDonald’s outlet.
