Kuwait Finance House (KFH) launched an application on iPhone for diabetic patients.
The free application includes information and important advice for this segment of people in English and Arabic, and highlights KFH's efforts to play a prominent social responsibility role; especially that this disease has severe social and economic consequences.
It is worth noting that this disease affects the society and the capabilities of its people, not to mention the high cost of medical treatment and prevention. The application is considered to be the first of its kind among local banks and companies, and can be downloaded for free through App Store and the typing of 'KFH'.
The application's name is 'Diabetes Aid', and contains useful information about the disease, recommendations made by doctors, and suitable diets.
Moreover, each patient can create a folder and save his own data, in addition to the timing of his medications, where the application sets an alarm and reminds the patient on time. The patient can also determine his weight through one of the tools in the application.
In addition, the application allows patients to send e-mails to their doctors, which facilitates the treatment process and creates a medical history.
It is worth noting that KFH had launched earlier Holy Quran application that was highly demanded and applauded by iPhone users worldwide. In record time, thousands of people downloaded the application, which prompted the bank to launch a more advanced version of the application.
