Falconcity of Wonders, FCW, has reaffirmed its continued commitment to Dubai Police at the White Points System Conference, in line with its corporate social responsibility efforts towards society and the country at large.

Falconcity of Wonders, the Diamond Sponsor of the event, participated in the conference to support the efforts of Dubai Police to reduce the number of death caused by accidents to zero death by the year 2020.

A report by the Traffic Coordination Department at the Ministry of Interior said that traffic accidents in the UAE fell by 10.7 per cent during 2014. To continue the positive momentum, the General Department of Traffic of Dubai Police has devised comprehensive plans for 2015 including the White Points System to reduce the number of fatal road accidents.

Commenting on their participation and lauding the initiative of Dubai Police, Salem Al Moosa, FCW’s Chairman and General Manager, said, “We are extremely pleased to be associated with Dubai Police in this conference. This event has given us an opportunity to work jointly with Dubai Police to benefit all segments of society while serving Dubai’s reputation as a safe destination globally. We are positive that this initiative will not just benefit members of the community, but the nation at large. Building on strengths and accomplishments of Dubai Police over the past few years, we will continue to play an important role in supporting their efforts towards a safe and secure society.”

The White Points system was introduced in 2012 in a bid to reduce traffic accidents. It allows motorists to win a maximum of 24 white points during a year. To receive the points, motorists must not have any traffic violation on the driver’s license or the vehicle registered in the name of the driving license holder during the year.

FCW is a multipurpose mega-project being developed within Dubai, featuring structures based on famous sites and architectural marvels of the world, such as the Pyramids, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

The city is shaped to represent the falcon, emblematic of UAE heritage. The project is spread over an area of more than 3.8 million square meters and will combine various commercial, residential, educational and leisure amenities with entertainment facilities and will include apartments, villas, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, health clubs and spas, schools and parks.
