Dolphin donates $40,000 to charitable organisations

Dolphin Energy Qatar has donated $40,000 to Al Khor branch of the Qatar Red Crescent (QRC), the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs and the Al Tamakon for Comprehensive Education as part of its corporate social responsibility commitments.
A ceremony to hand over the donation cheques to the three organisations, held recently at Dolphin Energy Tower, was attended by Dolphin Energy general manager Adel Ahmed Albuainain, deputy general manager Ibrahim Jeham al-Kuwari, Dolphin Energy DVP public relations official Ajlan Eid al-Enazi as well as a host of senior managers from the company and representatives from the three charities who received support.
Collecting a cheque for $20,000, QRC branch manager Rashid al-Mohannadi said: “As with other companies in the region, we are delighted to have developed a relationship with Dolphin Energy in this way.
“We continue to strengthen our ties with the company and greatly appreciate this generous gesture from them. The donation will help with many humanitarian initiatives we undertake and we thank them for their contribution.”
Expressing his appreciation of the $10,000 donation, Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs executive manager Ameer al-Mulla said: “We would like to thank Dolphin Energy for the donation and hope it sends a positive message to other companies considering contributions in this way. The funds will make a difference to the support we give the children and young adults.”
Al Tamakon principal Muna al-Mulla, who received a cheque for $10,000, remarked: “This is the third year in a row that Dolphin Enegy has supported us. Their continuous support and commitment to helping the lives of our children and their parents is greatly appreciated.”
Albuainain said that as a leading energy company, Dolphin Energy has an obligation to support those in the society at a disadvantaged by providing assistance to institutions that work tirelessly to make a positive impact on their lives.
“We maintain a strong bond with all elements of Qatari society and it gives us great pleasure to commit to a variety of social initiatives that focus on those less fortunate. We operate under the motto ‘Dolphin Energy, Positive Energy’ and will continue funding a wide range of educational, health, sport, cultural, environmental and humanitarian initiatives in the future.”
