Bahraini retail and commercial banking institution, BMI Bank today donated an amount of BD 5,000 to the Al Sanabel Orphans Care Center (Al Sanabel) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
The donation was handed over by Eyad Sater the Bank’s General Manager – Support Services toYousif Abdullah, member of the Board of Trustees and Head of Public Relations- Al Sanabeland AbduljalilAli, member of the Board and Head of Orphans care - Al Sanabel at a ceremony held at the Jewelry Court of Moda Mall at the prestigious Bahrain World Trade Center.Al Sanabel, a long-term partner of the Bank’s CSR program will use the funds towards caring for the orphans by offering them various training courses and other socio-cultural activities.
In line with the bank’s ongoing commitment towards building a stronger CSR program and giving back to the community it operates in, BMI Bank has donated close to BD 24,000 since the beginning 2012 towards various charities including the Muharraq Social Welfare Centre, Bahrain Red Crescent Society, Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation , Al Noor Charity Welfare, Children & Mother’s Welfare amongst others.
Commenting on the donation, Eyad Sater, General Manager- Support Services at BMI Bank, said:

Al Sanabel Orphans Care Center houses over 600 orphan children and provides aid to the orphans & their families through a guarantee program in which a guarantor pays a sum of money to help fulfill the needs of an orphan; in addition to donation programs which help finance the center’s activities such as furnishing, summer programs, education, university scholarship, housing and many more. Al Sanabel Orphans Care Center believes in taking care of the orphan’s social status by offering and participating in training courses and socio-cultural activities.
