Banks, companies to showcase CSR programs at Riyadh forum

Prince Faisal bin Salman, chairman of the Board of Social Responsibility, will patronize the 2nd Social Responsibility Forum in Riyadh tomorrow.

The Board of Social Responsibility at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and Batula Corp. have extended invitations to a number of princes, ministers, heads of banks and companies, businessmen/women to attend the opening ceremony of the forum.

More than 54 banks and companies will showcase their programs and experiences related to social services in addition to research on social responsibility issues.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Social Responsibility Abdullah Al-Migairin appreciated the outstanding response shown by commercial and industrial firms toward this event, which he said constitutes a scientific and awareness forum poised to present their successful experiences for communal development.

The forum, which runs for three days, aims to highlight the role of private sector firms in sustainable development that will boost the positive image of participating firms. It will open up direct communication between firms and beneficiaries of social responsibility programs, Al-Migarin pointed out.
