Arab Bank hosts iftar and an evening of activities for orphans at the Children's Museum Jordan

As part of Arab Bank's corporate social responsibility program "Together," the Bank recently hosted an Iftar for 200 orphans at the Children's Museum, a non-profit educational initiative of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, in collaboration with a number of community based organizations registered under the Ministry of Social Development and the Children's Museum.

Arab Bank hosted this Iftar as part of its continuous support toward orphans and to promote the value of giving during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Arab Bank undertook this initiative with the objective of giving orphans an opportunity to have an enjoyable Ramadan evening with the participation of employee volunteers from the Bank. The Iftar was attended by children between the ages of seven and 13 who took a tour of the museum, participated in educational and recreational activities and concluded the evening with a warm meal while they received gifts from the Bank's volunteers.

Commenting on this activity, Ms. Dina Shoman, Executive Vice President of Branding at Arab Bank said, "Some initiatives, even if modest in size can create a lasting impression on children. This initiative not only gives orphans an opportunity to benefit from what the Children's Museum has to offer, but also allows them to experience the spirit of the volunteers. Such initiatives reach out to orphaned children, showing them the warmth of Ramadan and the dedication of individuals in their community."

Ms. Shoman concluded, "Arab Bank is committed to engaging various community based organizations in order to support the local community, not just during Ramadan, but throughout the year as sustainable cooperation is the key to lasting impact. Arab Bank appreciates the great responsibility that rests with these community based organizations when it comes to supporting and protecting orphans in the Kingdom."

It is worth mentioning that Arab Bank has implemented many initiatives during the Holy Month of Ramadan which include programs and activities dedicated to serving local communities with the ultimate goal of reinforcing the values of giving and volunteering in addition to stressing the importance of being an active member in the community.
