Alfa donates to the Lebanese Autism Society

Within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program "Alfa 4-Life", Alfa, the first Lebanese mobile operator managed by Orascom Telecom since February 2009, has launched and sponsored a SMS subscriber-fundraising campaign in support of the Lebanese Autism Society (LAS), an association supporting children with Autism.

The campaign raised in favor of the association.

This donation follows the world-class exhibition, Alfa organised last July for Ali Tlais, a young artist from the Lebanese Autism Society who exhibited his art works and paintings in an international Gallery in Beirut, receiving high accolades from the audience including officials, social society representatives, and media personalities.

Commenting on this new "Alfa-4Life" initiative, Alfa Chairman& CEO, Marwan Hayek said, "We highly value the constant support of our subscribers to all our CSR initiatives channelled via the "Alfa 4-Life" Program. Today's donation to the LAS will go towards supporting the association's noble mission in helping children with autism improve their communication capabilities as well as offering them better life opportunities."

Alfa launched last July the SMS fundraising campaign in favour of the LAS, enabling subscribers to donate to the association via SMS to the humanitarian short code-1004.

It's worth mentioning that "Orascom Telecom Holding" (OTH) is the international leading mobile operator in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia and counts over 104 million subscribers.
